communism works on paper.
as do a lot of things.

Ever heard that the people with the very least are likely to give you the most? They know what its like to go without. They wouldn't want to see others feel that same emptiness. Socialism is a very very good archetype, but it cant be implemented correctly when we have such greedy habits.

When Che and castro finished divvying up the labor in an infant communist cuba it was decided to grow sugar cane for extra finances. Che asked the people to go up and beyond what he had asked of them already and come tend to the fields. Che personally spent hours in the fields. Thats socialism trying to survive in a capitalistic environment. At least they tried.

It was for the good of the country.
The country was for the good of its people.
Imagine that on a worldwide scale.

Desire has to die before need will.

People forget what Socialims actually is, take a look here. One of the main problems people have, is they think 'Socialism' attempts to make everyone equal which is actually a lie. It tries to do something different to that.

In society, there are two types of Status. Ascribed and Achieved.

Ascribed status, is something given to people at birth, their gender, skin colour, nation of origin and is very hard to change but it goes on to include such things as royalty and the rich.

Achieved status is the process of earning it, becoming rich or a doctor, lawyer or a teacher and the list can go on.

Socialism wishes to remove as much of the Ascribed Status as you can. Just because you are born into a certain family you are not better than anyone else and they also practice an idea of 100% inheritance tax, so everyone has to earn their livings. [It's a much larger and more complex system than that, which I am in the process of writing up and placing in the above post as time goes on.]

che guevarra

I agree with you General Zapata, may his memory live on indeed, but as the murderous butcher, and scum of the earth he actually was.

What country would accept a foreigner and allow him to butcher hundreds, perhaps thousands, of its own citizens, without trial. That is what happened in Cuba. Not only does Cuba accept this, but exalts its mindless masses to "be like Che".

You want a conspiracy? Maybe Castro tipped off the CIA as to where Che really was. Think about it. Do you think Castro needed someone on the world stage to outcommunist him?

Regardless, good riddance.

Anyone who wears a Che Guevarra t-shirt is a complete idiot with # for brains!

You going to back that up with evidence?

What makes his actions different to a lot of other people involved during a Civil War?

So the Cuban people do not hold their own opinion?

I guess this arguement can easily be reversed. You've been brainwashed to be anti-Socialism/anti-Cuban? Or wait...it is only in Cuba, China, North Korea and the Islamic Nation's such brainwashing happens? Not in the west?

What makes you better than him for wanting him dead? OH wait...he killed people, but because you wish him ill and think his crimes are wrong it is O.K. to wish his death and see it as a good thing?

On the basis you hold different political views? Which is why he killed people.

Maybe they agree with him?

I see people waving U.S. flags around, yet the U.S. has killed far more people than Guevara ever did.

THANK YOU!
Someone who knows Cuban history. Che and Fidel were heros to Cuba, compared to the guy they ousted.
I dont hear any of you calling the american revolutionaries murderers when they killed all the Brits trying to keep us from independence.
Che was responsible for a lot of deaths, no doubt. But, you cant take a country back for the people without breakin some eggs.
I suggest you all read some books about the state of Cuba both before and after these "terrorists" took over. I really doubt Castro forced all those people out into the streets praising this guy as a hero. Maybe all the pictures of Havana, 1959 in every single Guevara book I ever read were photoshopped...

A little quote:

"Because of the circumstances in which I travelled, first as a student and later as a doctor, I came into close contact with poverty, hunger, and disease; with the inability to treat a child because of lack of money; with the stupefaction provoked by continual hunger and punishment, to the point that a father can accept the loss of a son as an unimportant accident...and I began to realize that there were things which were almost as important to me as becomming a famous scientist or making a significane contribution to medical science: I wanted to help those people."

"Our sacrifice is a conscious one: it is in payment for the freedom we are building."

-Che Guevara

Hell Friends:

I was 4 yrs old when Guevarra was killed(I'm 42 now)
but I remember my dad talking to me about "Che".
"Che"was a doctor, a fighter, a teacher, a liberator to many,
many people. He was a well educated and well spoken.

It is funy how the Americans forgot the were "Rebuliocionaries"
themself in the indipendace war and refuce to give the same honor
to peolple that had fight for their own freedom in other countries.

Viva "CHE" Viva Filiberto Ojeda Rio Viva Puerto Rico libre!!!!
