It appears that Americas foreign policy goal is to make everywhere more democratic. We intervened in Iraq and Afghanistan, we have warned China,
Syria, Indonesia, North Korea, Venezuela, etc.,etc.,etc. But while we attempt to turn the world democratic our own government is becoming more
autocratic. We really aren't a democracy any more. We are more of a Plutacracy or Aristcracy or possible a Oligarchy. The obvious effects of
Patriot I & II, the attempts to get a national ID with smart card, the suspension of constitutional rights whenever deemed necessary. We are not a
democracy anymore.
Is it possible that we will suceed in making the world more democratic for other as it continues to get less democratic for America? Who will
make the country more democratic for us?
