The tag for religious $ ethnic intolerance doesn't seem to be
working.
This thread below is tagged wit it but it doesn't come up in the list of tagged threads when you click on it.

Is the ampersand causing it to screw up?

A new feature on the tags page, a listing of all members who have "tagged", and the number of tags they created.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
183 members so far!

Just thought of this idea. Maybe you(SO) could make a page the is sort of a Glossary of the most clicked on tags from A-Z. For those who hate search
no matter how functional it would be a godsend.
It should be a button as well, best place I can see to put it is inbetween FAQ and SEARCH.

Once we have at least 25% of the threads tagged, I'll look at a system that tracks how often tags are clicked. I'm working on rolling out displaying
the tags for guests... and cooking up some killer search engine optimization madness.

...and we're still just a smidge past 3.1% of the threads. It shows there's a lot of work still to be done.
Once it's all complete and the search engine is activated, it certainly is going to be a cinch doing research on the various topics.
SO...I believe you're looking for pertinent multiple tags on as many threads as possible, right? I've been skipping short, informationless and dead
link threads and looking instead for the ones that have interesting debate with more than 50 replies.
Once the tagging is complete and sorting is easier, will you be wanting to trash some of those threads that contain nothing of interest? If you're
not, we should be tagging them all, right?

It may be impossible to tag all threads... I'll be very happy with 50%.
Also, a simple tag search is now up and running at:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

whoa...just type 'bush' in the search and look at the length of that list!!!
SO...on the older threads, should we concentrate ones that are interesting and have debate, ignoring the others? There's a lot that are not worth
reading at all, and I've not tagged them.

Yeah, I can't imagine someone tagging all 84 pages of the Board Questions & Business board. Although I'm trying to find all the WATS
awards.
Or if we actually get 99% that last percent may be impossible to find.

OK, there is another benefit to this tagging exercise - it inspired me to go and look at all those old threads. I'm beginning to realize that in
some areas, the current threads are about the same subject matter as the older threads. There are some very interesting comments in the older threads
that one could drop right into the current threads.
what does this say? are there some parts of ATS that are like my grandfather and they just keep telling the same stories over-and-over like it was
the first time he'd ever told me?
or...is like the old saying that "everything has been said but not everyone has had their chance to say it, yet"?

yeah al, i've been noticing the same thing. i've also found quite a few blanked out posts that are very intriguing. blanked out as in the posts
are there, but have been either erased, or blacked out, instead of being thrown in the garbage bin. wonder if management would care to comment?

You know what would be really nice? .... if Writers and "readers" alike could tag the Collab Fiction and Short stories forum. I notice a few have
been started, but wouldn't it sweet if we could search for "ghost stories" or "science fiction", etc. ?
hmmm...I wonder
