For the last few minutes ATS has beeen down ,no? it wasnt just me i was on chat at the time and asked 2 other ATS'ers

Yeah, I was watching the game in the upper left of my screen and "page cannot be displayed" in the lower right?! Fortunately, the outage wasn't long enough for the DT's to set in!

No, I was off for about 15 minutes, ran virus check and all.
It was probaly a fluke..

I thought It was a problem with my new computer; dont know what would be worse, a messed computer or ATS under attack... Hope its not too much of a problem and that the perpetrators get sorted out.

I noticed ATS not loading, thought it was on my end.

I hope everything works out okay with this ATS attack (for the ATS admin, not the attackers, lol).

It is short for delirium tremens that achoholics get when they are withdrawing from alcohol..
I was responding to the withdrawal from ATS..no help for this

yea i actually switched pcs cause i was on an old pc i was playin around with i got for free and it wasnt loading page. attacked? wtf? i want info!!!

quite alot in "cycles"... As we grew over the past three years we noticed that every so often, a series of very disturbed and obviously BORED people who need a life attempt to hack into our servers or admin panels...

You'd think we had credit card numbers in a data base or something. WHAT in the world is there of value that is worth risking jail time over here?!

Alas, not everyone has common decency, ethical behavior and mature thinking among their list of qualities...

The saddest part of this is the fact we have had to set up security for this site that rivals what one would expect on a merchant site where people's REAL financial information (i.e. credit crad numbers, bank account numbers, etc...) is uploaded.

All this for a site that is NOTHING but the free exchange of information. I know that information is power and valuable but it won't buy anyone a new Ipod Nano or a new car(!)...

The only motivation I can see for this activity is the hope of being able to stick one's tongue out and go "Nyaa Nyaa I got your site messed up!"

THAT is a sure sign to me that somone needs a life!

Calm down everyone. Obviously, the site is working now. I'm sure when more is known about what happened more information will be dished out. Take a chill pill, do a puzzle, read a book, or travel someplace far away.
