Are hybrids possible

Topic started on 11-4-2006 @ 02:51 PM by LuCypher

Can worthy goals be attained thru hybrid systems, like a thought I had the other day: What if everyones salary were weighted to value BUT as people voluntarily contributed to the less fortunate they would get raises across the board based on raising of the poverty line. Like bringing it upa few points would increase everyones salary by some percentage. Im divided on how to solve the worlds problems but I feel we are no more than animals if competition is the only rule, we have to apply our human compassion and human intellects toward more equitable solutions without paying doctors the same as mcDonalds fry managers.

I would say it is the strict, rigid systems that fail, not the hybrids. For example, America is not a democracy; it is a representative democracy since a strict democracy would make a 300,000,000-citizen country incapable of doing anything where speed may be an issue.

Same thing with capitalism. We're supposed to be a capitalistic society, but there are some strong socialist elements behind the US. Hybrids are the norm, the rigid systems only work on paper when you don't account for any human factors.

But whats the point of that? The idea of communism and socialism is that the working class is being exploited by the very fact that they are paid a wage, and that the system of capitalism is inevitably going to fall apart so we need to act now to bring it down and establish a rule of the people and the destruction of classes.

Its not just to make poor people less poor.

It's possible.

The whole idea though, was based around bringing more equality and depending on the socialist theory would dependent on how you desire to do that. It's clear that removing competition isn't a good thing, a Doctor is more important than a shop assistant when you compare the two - however both are needed.

The best thing to do, is remove ascribed status and money.

The best thing for the people would be to build a system where everyone has a say. After all we are now in the digital age, I can post this message here and nearly every human being with access to the internet can now read it. If Government's cared about you - us - they would design a system, where we would have our say.

Socialism is a system, where by the people are the designers and no human being is born unequal. Everyone has the same chance, everyone has the same worth and they become better by their actions - not by who your parents are or where you live or how much money, you are given.
