In a tactic nearly as old as the Little Red Book, the newspaper the Cleveland Plain Dealer endorses the ancient tool of political red-baiting to whip
up the public and gain exposure for an otherwise unknown Republican candidate. Jason Werner is nobody, but he hopes to gain a reputation by using
McCarthy-like slandering in the heart of the midwest. Divide and conquer seems to be his camp's goal. Appealing to the prejudices and fears of
Republicans and fence sitters, Werner's use of smear tactics like these are despicable but not without precedent.

"... Jason Werner, 26, a North Olmsted resident and Cleveland State University graduate in marketing. Werner, employed in banking, says he
opposes incumbent Rep. Dennis Kucinich's "communist values" and seeks to promote the family, protect the unborn, encourage creation of small
businesses and limit government.
Werner's forthrightness is admirable, but Dovilla is better prepared to step into Congress, and merits his fellow Republicans' support."
