Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Men who seek power in my experience are thel ast people you want to have power.
Politicians just like most people are looking out for themselves. The thing is that politicians are supposed to look out for everyone else.
I grew tired of pigs calling the shots. That is how I became attached to this ideologie.

Most likely, anarchism is a failure. I can understand a political uprising beacuse of poor goverment and living conditions, but why dont you try
living where there are no laws, you couldnt live. "Only thing protecting you is yourself" Well you cant really protect yourself from a bullet eh?.
Ive never understood anachism. Just my 2 cents, no offense to any1

Anarchism.
Ironically enough, 500 PTS Points are now your property!

I tell you if I have to endure another 8 years of the same type of government like Bush be Republican or Democrat I will probably turn anarchist
myself too.
I think many Americans will just lose their minds but never their will.
Its going to be a lot of anarchist out there.

I would have to ask that you further define what you consider Anarchism.
There will always be law of some sort - just whether or not we need the controls of others or are able to take responsibility for our own actions.
Most anarchists I know spend too much time blaming others that they never get any solid and constructive work done towards fixing the problems in
their own lifes that they ARE able to effect change in.
Viva Independance and Self Accountablity.

The truth to the matter is that to do any real change in this country would require anarchists and their determination. In my experience anarchists
are easily manipulated and the perfect soldiers to accomplish your own goals...

I don't think anarchy is exactly a good form of government unless you are a tribe of a few dozen at the most, anarchy = chaos.
for the same reasons you are a anarchist I am a monarchist. Absolute rule is the only way any thing can get done effectivly, it has worked for
thousands of years. Democracy is a failure, every democracy will in time become tyranny.

I think I agree with most people posting here. With all the lies we get from our government more and more people are turning in that direction.
I don't believe it will ever be total anarchism, that doesn't work either.
Is there a word for "controlled chaos"?

Anarchy as anarchists see it is not "chaos". Anarchists call for non-hierarchial organization, not chaos! This world of hierarchy is chaos: wars,
inequality, genocide, etc.

Worked for thousands of years, huh? Well what if I told you that a practical anarchy has functioned throughout our evolution for millions?
"Government" as we think of it has only existed since around the start of the Neolithic 'revolution' (about 10,000 years ago) an egalitarian
hunter-gatherer culture with anarchist principles existed long before this. I agree with you that democracy is a failure- it is slavery to the
majority- but we do not live in a true democracy, we live in a federal republic (and arguably a corporocracy).

I became an anarchist after I received my second speeding ticket from a saucy black woman cop with an attitude problem, in two months. Due to my age
my insurance got jacked up. I was on a major highway with a lot of traffic that was moving fast, yet she picked me to pull over.
My hatred for cops turned me into a hater of government in its entirety. I eventually softened into a radical Libertarian, but I still have a quiet
smile whenever I hear of someone thwarting the government in some way.

I think of anarchism as a period of transition more than a permanent establishment.
It seems the way humans interact that there will always be authorative figures and groups, no matter where or what.

First off Anarch ism is not a form of government. Secondly Anarchism does not equal chaos. In an Anarchist, or as I prefer to call it
Libertarian-Socialism society there will still be organisation and control. It will just be from the bottom up as apposed to the top down.
Before you try to explain why you think Anarchism is wrong, it would be good to learn exactly what it is, no?
"While the popular understanding of anarchism is of a violent, anti-State movement, anarchism is a much more subtle and nuanced tradition then a
simple opposition to government power. Anarchists oppose the idea that power and domination are necessary for society, and instead advocate more
co-operative, anti-hierarchical forms of social, political and economic organisation." [L.Susan Brown, The Politics of Individualism, p.
106]
Anarchists appose centralised authoritarian government, not order or society. In fact Anarchists see government control as chaos, and detrimental to
good order that stifles the improvement of society. Anarchists are apposed to all forms of hierarchy.
"Liberty is the Mother, not the Daughter of Order" Proudhon
There is a big misunderstanding what we mean by 'property is theft'. It doesn't mean your personal property or personal possessions. It means
mostly land and the machinery of production. When land and machinery are monopolised by private individuals it is always at the detriment of
society.
You can posses a piece of land, as long as that land is being used for the community, and not being monopolised for personal gain. You cannot
own land you are not using for example.
More here
Anarchists believe in 3 basic things... liberty, equality and solidarity.
We believe these are essential for the survival of Mankind. Domination by the state stifles Human creativity, intelligence, dignity, personal
responsibility...
For liberty to truly exist you need equality. There is no real freedom in a hierarchical society with inequalities of power, wealth and privilege.
Only those at the top are free in such a society. For a society to maximize it's potential it must be based on voluntary association, not
coercion.
We must work voluntarily and cooperate with others who share our interests and goals. Without liberty and equality you have a pyramid scheme of
competing classes where the upper classes dominate the lower. This divides and weakens society as a whole, as cooperation only happens within
classes, and not society wide. We begin to compete where we should cooperate. The upper classes cooperate to exploit the lower classes etc...
"consists in things of utility and beauty, in things which help to create strong, beautiful bodies and surroundings inspiring to live in . . .
[Our] goal is the freest possible expression of all the latent powers of the individual . . . Such free display of human energy being possible only
under complete individual and social freedom," in other words "social equality." [Emma Goldman, Red Emma Speaks, pp. 67-8]
The only thing stopping us is our faith and trust in each other...

Im not sure if this is a good place for this, but I am not an anarchist nor do I think anarchy would work as a system of government...
In truth Anarchy is a flawed government due to the fact that it is inherantly impossible. The reason for this is the basic notion that humans always
move towards order. Look at what happens to cities after the government is removed. At first there is chaos then slowly people flock together and form
a society. This happens and will always happen...
