Wow!
80% of new posts are new members introductions, we´re flooded!
What´s up, a new campaign for ATS somewhere?
In any case it´s GREAT for the board. Whooop.

Not sure of the stats on new members per day (sure there out there somewhere though) but I'd guess a couple dozen or so.
Looks like mechanic32 is responding to a BUNCH of 'em now and that's the reason for the current deluge on the board at the moment... I'm talking
out me arse here though so don't quote me.
regards

I know I was plugging ATS over at the SciFi Channel's forums. On both Battlestar Galactica and the Stargate forums.
I'd assume( and hope) that other members who want ATS to grow do the same thing at various forums.
Gotta get the word out.
*pets ATS lovingly*

I think Mechanic 32 is trying to set a record here.....
"Let´s see if I can fill the entire new post page with introduction posts by replying to everyone in the introductions forum".
Close, but no cigar yet.....

Hey I said don't quote me...
But yes I can... works great at parties and such. I do a pretty mean Gettysburg Address. The danger, of course, is in the shart... but I'm an
expert DO NOT try this at home.

There Was A Bit Of A Misunderstanding Regarding Post Flooding
We're working it out.
For the record:
AboveTopSecret.com Terms And Conditions Of Use
1f.) Relevant Content: You will not post messages that are clearly outside of the stated topic of any forums nor disrupt a forum by
deliberately posting repeated irrelevant messages or copies of identical messages (also known as "flooding").
I appreciate the practice of greeting new members, and certainly don't want to discourage anyone from being friendly, but spamming scads of identical
messages is a bit much -- and violates the T&C.
I suggest a more personal touch.

But Majic, isn´t everyone using some form of standard greeting to newbies?
If you look at the introductions board it is almost always the same message to the newbies, with only the name changed to address them personally.
Surely this cannot be what the T&C is referencing to with regards to flooding?
Just trying to defend Mechanic 32 here because now I feel guilty for even bringing this up, even though I wasn´t even aware this was happening
because of some form of flooding.
Mechanic 32 places dead rat in HardToGet´s locker going: "snitch! snitch!"

Thanks HardToGet, but it's all good.
I had been away for a couple of weeks, and was perhaps a little overzealous in catching up with my replies in the Introductions forum.
btw - I like your avatar.

Actually we average about 75 New Registered Members a day.

This is good we more people to think out side the box just yesterday I asked my friend to check out the site he hasn't said anything yet but he has
an open mind. I think the reason for the growth is cause of this myspace fad ats is similar but it more respeced than myspace and more real. The
point system is addictive and make you feel like you really deserver everone of those points and make you think more about you say. Then you start to
do your own reseach. It a very good site.

Actually we were growing before myspace was even thought of much less online.
Your last sentence, about doing genuine research, makes all the hours we spend refining an keeping the site up WORTH IT.
Thanks.
