Energy & Science Issues: I'm the new FSME and just saying hello

Hello PTS/ATS members, I'm the new FSME for the Energy & Science Issues, yea I know shocked me too.
So anyway I thought I would write a little note to tell you all that I'm looking forward to this and hope to keep the E&SI forum running smoothly and adhering to the ATS T&C policy. I don't talk much, but I read most of the forums and threads on the boards but don't always post to them.
I must say though, we have some kick butt members who write dynamite threads and posts as I'm sure you have read your selves, but now I am the FSME of the Energy & Science Issues forum I have the ability to give members 1500 points for a thread or posts in this forum that I deem an excellent post.
So if you want to make some big points now you know how.

Do you plan to contribute, or will you just monitor or intervene as needed?

I plan on doing both, but as I say I read more than I type, but I'm here 15, 20 hours a day. I know I have no life, so I will have my eye on this form the majority of time I'm on ATS/PTS.

Maybe I can post something of interest occasionally.

well I'm going on 2 days now as FMSE and haven't even got to press my new shiny button that sends out 1500 points, does no one have interesting ideas or some cool science and energy issues they would like to share and maybe pick up some major ATS pocket change in return.

Well that is a very nice topic Sauron, I will love to know the guide lines to be use for this board so as to be able to bring some trustworthy articles of interest.

marg6043 it's the same guidelines as the rest of ATS, 3 to 5 paragraphs with the link to the article and as much additional information the poster would like to ad with supporting links, pictures etc.
As well as original ideas, with links and quotes to support the posters theory's and also if members have questions that relate to science or energy they can be asked in this forum. With any luck they may even get answers from all the scientifically orientated members here on ATS/P@ATS.

So far many of the threads added to this one are more on the political side.

Unless that is the desirable result occurs.

well at the moment I will take anything I can get, with or without a political spin, until the powers above tell me other wise. you can view the forum here it may give you an idea of what I want. But if there is politics involved that is perfect, ie "Bush I don't Believe in global warming" or "Democrats say the price of home heating oil Bush's fault." This is the forum for that.
