Please give that smiley banner a whack with the hate stick-and its "HELLLLOOOOOOOOO" screech each time it's moused over.
I wasn't able to get a URL of it. I will snoop and edit the post in a bit. Too early on a Sunday for anything requiring brainpower

Please please please do something about the smileys ad. I think I'm going to scream the next time the thing goes "heee-elllllooooooo" at me.
Grrrrrrrrr
I understand the need for ads, but they should not make noise. In my opinion, it's as offensive as pop-ups.

I just had an add pop up on my screen for Dove body wash, or soap, or some such thing. It wasn't a new window, it wasn't a banner add, it was one of
those static images that just literally covers the screen. It didn't have any button to click to close it. The only way to get rid of it was to
refresh the page.
That sort of advertising is just ^%&& ignorant.

There is an ad that chain redirected me to different sites. I was not able to see the ad that did it to me, because as soon as I viewed a page, it
created a pop up (in a new window), and then redirected me to www.primetrafficsite.com...
After taking me to that site, it took me to yahoo hotjobs, and then to a dating website.
I do not believe this is due to any virus, spyware, or trojan (I scan for these daily with many different scanners, and update my scanning software
whenever one is available).

ha on top of these i hate the animated speaking ones as well. i forget what she's talking about, but i especially remember a digital woman
advertising something on some pages, not here on ATS though. and the ones that ask you to vote on something completely stupid.

I would like to nominate the "Congratulations! You are over the 1,000,000th vistor" flashing ad.
Reason: It beeps...over and over and over and over and...
It is a flash ad, so I can't save target as, but clicking on it open up a window with this monstrous url:
ad.scanmedios.com...
surf.com%2Fwww%2Fdelivery%2Fafr.php%3Fn%3Da72b21ae%26zoneid%3D3%26cb%3D,
...which then immediately goes away and is replaced with this one:
yourgiftzone.com/LP/prom-181921/fd3ae75350.php?a=CD27
Thank you.

I for one am sick and tired of this Jim Marrs ATS book being shoved down our throats.
I understand the need for advertising, but it's plastered everywhere!
And enough of the U2U trying to sell it to me!

I received another pop-up ad. This time I copied the URL that was trying to redirect me to another ad:

The URL is:

from my expereince with Google adsense not alot
you only make 0.20-$2.00 (sometimes more) depending on the advert
to making $10-$50 (maybe more depending on product and site) when your site refers someone and they purchase a product.
i will be honest i have never clicked on Advert on anywebsite,
i do however use Adblock to block avatars which are oversized.

The muslim dating service advert offends me.
'You can only apply to this website if you're a muslim' it seems to be saying.
Imagine if the boot was on the other foot and there was an advert saying only 'non muslims' could only apply.
There would be lots of frothing at the mouth, righteous indignation and hysterical claims of prejudice and intolerance.
I suppose its still completely illegal (via corporal punishment) in many muslim countries for an inferior kuffar to date a muslim but I think this
advert is reverse prejudice as it promotes a 'religious cult members only' mentality.

The new Mirrors ad is here, and it's worse than the old one. Seriously, the last one used to freak me out with the girl pulling her face off but this
one, i just caught a glimpse of....eeww!
It shows a man slashing his throat and blood appears all over the ad. Very disturbing and seeing as an avatar like that would need to be changed, i
would hope that ATS would ban this ad too.

In all seriousness, it is odd that images (gore, sex, etc) that would be violations of ATS' T&C if they were on a member's avatar or in their posts
but, similar or worse examples end up on-site in ads. Of course, I reckon that could simply be a case of Skeptic O. not being able to personally
approve of every ad that shows up here (guess that's why we have this thread). I once had Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man as my avatar but was
asked to remove it because of the nudity. I guess art and/or humor are in the eye of the beholder.

exactly. I agree with the whole ATS/ T&C thing. I have caught sight of that damn Mirrors ad about 5 times now and its disgusting. I come back on this
forum and what thread catches my eye? The warning against posting graphic images. What does this ad show? A man slashing his throat.
I'm sure it is hard fo S.O to keep track of them, especialy the Google ads (of which this is one), but still, this one is particularly gross.
