Polls have been disabled, I think. They weren't secure enough to keep them on the board.

I can dig what you say....really...it may be a website...yes, but this site represents itself to be something it is not....Free Speech BB......Ive
seen toomany ppl silenced......I'll call it like it is......they can come against me.....fine....they can gang up on me....fine....they cant change
the way I feel.....everything that is wrong with this world reflects here too...it just goes to show you how people are. Read BigSages post on the
experiement. You will see people getting frustrated because they dont understand. They gat mad at him because they can't see his ways and what he was
trying to do. Theyt get mad call him names....he fights back and gets warned by our supermoderators......gets slobal ignore like im probably getting
now. Maybe I didn't know what actions were taken against anyone that was out of line towards BigSage but they made it public when he was out of line.
And when I was Mr. Bull

Well then where do you get your numbers from?......lets see how may people think who is right? AGREE OR DISAGREE should bigsage be allowed to have his
say and leave it up to the person to use the ignore button?

cool it man. You really need to look at it like the situation that It really is, and just accept that we just got rid of a troll
because bigsage
Was a troll.
You're not being censored, just punished for being out of line. that's all.

My percentage is based upon simple fact. Bigsage was not coherent.
Polls have been disabled due to some abuses of them.
Bigsage wasn't respectful of the rules of conduct on this board either. He kept his username hidden in his profile by keeping the text and
background colors the same. Every time somebody fixed that, he went back and re-did the very thing that wasn't allowed. I think last time I saw
his posts, I think the admins had disabled his ability to change his profile because he would not follow such a simple rule.

"Can you understand bigsage's posts" 99% of people would respond "NO".
Your correct that because in my view hes using his own home grown Psycho Babble to draw people into flame wars
what a waste of time like there arent enough valid topics to discuss............

I think I already typed this as well. You are apparently
on the same level of incoherency as bigsage.

checking in for the "bigsage made no sense" crowd. sorry man, it's the simple truth. if I picked random words out and strung them together with
elipses, I'd expect to get disciplined too.
edit: can't type. too early.

sorry for yelling, but..
YOU CAME ON, AND BEGAN ABUSING A MOD!
What did you think I meant?
Just because I don't post much doesn't mean I'm not here watching, and I saw the progression of bigsage from nutcase to troll.(truthfully, I'm
here about 3-3.5 hours a day, dispersed into roughly half hour visits at a time...so I'm here alot...)
Defending a troll is almost as bad as being a troll. If someone is, then they are. There's no argument about it.
If you have a problem like the one you raised, take it to u2u. I know that I hate reading a post, only to find that it's some pain in the ass
argument between random poster number one, and a mod who's been here a long time. I just don't think it's conducive to well....anything.
If you're not satisfied to do that, take it to the RANT FORUM ON BTS!
I'm going to go back to reading now, so play nice.

With any community, there are standards of conduct and decorum. Break those standards, and there may be unwanted results. This is not about opinion,
it's about behavior.

i find big sage coherent...
we must follow the rules if we wish to remain here...
williams arguement is the only one which makes sense against big sage...
alien seemed a little premature locking my big sage thread....
no circular arguements had time to cycle....
somebody take that big gun away from alien...

Now I'm confused... my position supports Alien.
Bigsaga's contributions resulting in staff action have been inane post-and-run pointless prattle completely off-topic on several threads. Since he
continued this spam, we took action.
If you do the same, our response would be the same.

i'm talking about my thread, which was a simple question about why i could see big sage had posted but could not read his posts. i had never heard
of a global ignore before. alien locked it after only a few replies. i think he was nervous and insecure.
all this behaviour is very telling.
i would apologize, if i'd done anything wrong, which, i don't believe i have. unless critisizing mods is a punishable offense?
i'm not trolling, just trying to understand the rules here.

Sorry for my obscure and less than complete answer on your other thread as to what may have caused you to not be able to seee bigsage's posts for a
time.
I indicated that the Global Ignore was part of an ATS behavior modification program. One less knowledgable member didn't understand how true this is,
as confirmed by William on this thread here.
bigsage had repeatedly used expletives in order to demean and abuse other members, on a different topic altogether that he was posting on. It caused
an escalation, with a number of members forming a lynch mob to attack bigsage. My contribution to that thread was to say to bigsage that his language
and demeanor wasn't in keeping with his general position, which is positive towards the development of humanity.
There are certainly very different levels of awareness at ATS. Threads like this and billybob's thread prove it.
The bizarre thing about the "Global Ignore" policy is that after 'time has been served', the posts of the member being subjected to behavior
modification will re-appear, including those that would have offended and caused negative member reaction in the first place.
It would make more sense to simply delete the offending post/material and warn the errant member immediately. That reinforces what it was that was
against the terms and conditions, and presents the problem to the member for his own decision, far better than implementing something that becomes
vague and incomprehensible later. Seriously.
