Avatars are what add personality to a poster. If they were gotten rid of, it would take much away from the site in my honest opinion.

i do not mean to be rude , but i do not give a rats ass about the " personality " of a poster and thier display of narcisism

i come to ats to READ , not look @ pretty pictures .

if peoples " personalities " are so lacking that they need bolstering by an avatart , then dog help them

Or, in my case, a display of my gut.

Or was that disturbing avatar perhaps mine?

Well the one of the enormous rabbit is quite strange, possibly disturbing, but also quite good if one were hungry enough

Sorry for off topic comment.

Thanks.
I've gotten several favorable comments about her, she is one of my favorites/

You know, that was one of the first avatars I thought about when I saw this thread!

Did we ever figure out which avatar was offending this member?

Lysergic, I find your avatar very non-offensive, btw.

I think it's safe to say this thread isn't going anywhere else now other than the comic route.

What constitutes allowed imagery in avatars can be found in the Avatar and Signature Guidelines.

We have spent alot of time refining these guidelines so as to allow for enough freedom of expression, but not to the point of offending most people. This is continually being tweaked and revised.

Closed.

The rabbit's name is Bodmin and he's from Essex. He was 88 lbs when that picture was taken. Here's a link to a bigger photo of him:
