religion and politics

WORLD politicians claim to be religious or they are being instructed by a higher source.example,Bush says he is inspired by god and there for a while after every speech he would always say "may God bless america". i dont think his God and mine are the same.he's against abortion and thinks that life is so precious.then why stage 9/11 and have alot of innocent lives taken and continue to be taken today.what God is he talking about some bones at yale university.

in american politics there is no place for your god, bush's god, tom, dick, or harry's god.

it's called the seperation of church and state, secularism. it's there for a reason.

there is only one god that man must worship and that is the god that comes to life and dies for you everyday...for when the day comes that she does not rise we all shall die!!! We are so small on a ball spinning for the answers..

It's interesting that God plays such a huge role in politics- especially in America. Religion seems to blur alot of lines in the political world. Can one make a balanced decision based solely on ones religious preferences? In a nation as diverse as America it is easy to see how the term "In God We Trust" garners so much debate. Whose God is it that we are trusting surely a whole nation cannot identify with only one God?? In a way Bush is smart when it comes to using religion as a political platform, sure he alienates those of other faiths but the vast majority of Americans are christian. By bringing God into the equation it almost seems like he is trying to convince the American people that he has divine passage to make these horrible decisions. It almost seems like he uses it as a way to win people over. Christians want nothing more then a leader with strong moral foundations and by playing on his faith it almost seems like he is trying to get the christian "vote".

i read quite often here and elsewhere that christians,muslims and jews all worship the 1 same G-D but frankly i do not see how that could be possible since all 3 have different practices and set aside 3 different days on which to worship their gods.sunday for christians,friday for muslims and saturday for jews.

leviticus 23 tells us which days G-D wants us to worship him on but muslims do not and most christians do not and the jews changed the calendar from lunar to calculated so other than the 7th day sabbath they only keep G-D's other holy days in reality about 1 year out of every 7 years.

to my mind none of the 3 main religions totally obey G-D yet they banter His name around a lot.

without a doubt there are some people that are trying their best to do what G-D says regardless of which of these 3 religions they presently associate with but you or i could not pick them out-------only G-D knows who are His.

i don't doubt that G-D allows pres.gwbush to be the leader of the usa even if he does just use G-D's name for gaining points with the voters-----its not my problem,each of us will have to answer for our own misdeeds not for other's
