For all you who hate the USA

Please tell me why you hate the USA, is it because we are ridding the world of terrorists, or is it because we give to much money in forien aid, do you just hate all of our technological/medical breakthroughs, or are you all just in envy of our way of life?

america created the biggest terrorist hotspot in the world through the iraq war. hell, we finance terrorists when it suits our needs.



yet it's so little when you consider how much the country makes.



the medical breakthroughs that are made by pharma companies and then used to blackmail people?
viagra?

the technology? hell, the rest of the world has caught up and, in some cases, overtaken the USA

edit to add: oh wait, if the right has their way then america will be populated by kids who grew up thinking that ID is an acceptable alternative scientific theory, there goes america's shot at being the leader in science.


why would anyone envy gluttony and greed? waste and pollution? apathy and isolation from the world around us? polarization and hate?

hell, i'm an america and i really hate this country. and yes, i am in fact leaving it.. though that's because i'm going to study abroad.

i don't really hate america the concept, i hate america in practice. sure, it has its good points, but it's bad points out weigh them

As far as I can tell, friends of the US to the north care and are aware of the sticky situation presently happening. Americans elected someone who seems hell bent at avenging the attempted murder of his Father in appx /92 while visiting Kuwait?

The Present-President of the USA has increased the danger in our hemisphere from terrorist murders looking for a chemical, biological or other wmd device that will hurt or kill millions of innocent people here. Obviously, when actions are done to increase the threat to us, people have to wonder why and who is responsible? But I certainly don't think it's a thought of hating the USA, just the governing body responsible for the increased threat of mass destruction

This may surprise you redseal, but I love America. I love the free enterprise system, the ability to get rich thru the fruit of my labors. I love the people in this country, because they are my friends and potential customers. I have owned my own business for over 30 years and this current administration has declared war on the small businessman, in favor of their cooperate whoredom to the big business campaign contributors.

What I don't love about this country is the hateful, selfrightous, sheep that think that they know how I should think, run my business, who I should sleep with, and take my hard earned taxes to wage a war on a country that never attacked us.

If you think that we are ridding the world of terrorists; you are living in some sort of patriotic dreamland that has little if any contact with the real world. Actually we are creating more terrorists Thur our unlawful intervention, arrogance and the stealing of other countries natural resources. No one like a bully and we are going to pay the price for our arrogance. Maybe not in a militarily way but certainly in an economic squeeze that is gonna hurt real bad. We don't own all the energy resources such as oil and natural gas and our "so called" friends are soon going to show their true colors. That color is green.

You shall see what I mean when the North American Union is put into effect and the dollar becomes worthless.

Here is a wake up call mate, the whole world doesn't hate America like that Mental Giant Bush claims and if you believe that crap you deserve to be a simpelton along side him.

The world hates the US Government and the fact it has become a Fascist regiem that passes on huge compensations to the Military contractors it favours and perpetuates a totally unwinnable war against an idea. It is a bully and thinks it has exclusivity of the world resources and finances which it backs up with military threats.

The last tip I will give you mate is to go find and read "The Confessions of an Economic Hitman" and it will show you that the cabal runs the show and dictates what the elected governement of the day can make policy.

Oh dear, I see a lot of generalizations in this thread that disturb me. Please, fellow posters and human beings, try to distinguish between the government and its subjects.

I say subjects because that's what we've become. The US is not a republic or a democracy anymore. I'm not certain exactly what it is, but it isn't really the US anymore either.

The citizens of the US no longer have control over their government. I'm not sure we ever really did. My point is that citizens of other countries mistakenly believe that the average American agrees with and supports the actions of the Bush administration.

Nuh uh. The rabid right may be in Bush's panties, but most of us are appalled. Most of us didn't want to go into Iraq in the first place and have wanted out ever since. Most of us are disgusted with what our government has done and is doing.

I've had no coffee yet this morning, so this post is far from organized, but at least the spelling is correct and you have a rough sense of where I'm coming from.

Australians cured the stomach ulcer and came up with a vaccine for cervical cancer. Apparently people die outside US hospitals if they don't have health insurence? Sorry.. don't envy that. Haven't really heared of any new medical breakthroughs from america lately but I'm sure they'd be making headway in germ warefare with all the extra funding.

Most americans are okay and are.. well rational. You on the other hand seem to be buying into the whole 'america is the greatest' rhetoric. It's not.. the whole idea that people are superior or somehow better off just for having been born somewhere in america is bunk. Geography doesn't guarentee food in your mouth or a roof over your head.

I don't hate the USA, in fact, I once created a thread asking why so many people in the USA have this thing (is it a disguised inferiority complex? Is there a psychologist in the house? ) about hate.

The USA is not ridding the world of terrorists. Even if we consider its War on Terror a success (which is at least doubtful), the War on Terror is target against only a part of all terrorist organisations in the world.

Knowing that most terrorist organisations have helped each other in the past, if they are doing the same thing now then we could have a reappearance of older terrorist organisations that were supposed to be extinct because of the bigger "market" for their people.

The USA does not give too much money in foreign aid, there isn't a country in the world that gives "too much" in foreign aid, much less the USA, which is not the world leader in foreign aid(see the PS at the end).

Most people outside the USA do not know what are the USA's technological or medical breakthroughs, and they don't care for them.

Why should someone from Afghanistan, for example, hate the USA because someone from there has invented a new graphics chip for use in laptop computers? Or because someone else has discovered a cure for a disease that this hypothetical Afghan does not even know that exists?

And for someone to hate the USA's lifestyle then they need to know it, and the only way of knowing it is living in the USA, even I, with all the knowledge is available to me through TV, radio, Internet, etc., I do not know what really is the life style in the USA.

Is it the possibility of electing their leaders?
Is it eating anything we want, even if it's more than is needed, just because we can?
Is it driving bigger cars that use lots of fuel?
Is it going to the movies?
Is it having free (or cheap) access to the Internet?
Is it the possibility of legally owning fire arms?
Is it having access to good libraries?
Is it the easy access to medical aid, even if you do not have the money for it?
Is it enjoying watching baseball?
Is it enjoying watching car chases on national TV?
Is it being afraid of being assaulted?
Is it being afraid of getting killed in a random shooting?
Is it being afraid of being kidnapped?
Is it being afraid of people who do not even know we exist?

You see, is so difficult to know what is anyone's lifestyle that it is almost impossible for anyone else to hate anyone for it, unless the hater has any mental problem.


PS: I have seen many times that there is the idea that the USA is the country that gives most in foreign aid. According to NationMaster, who gets most of its data from the CIA world factbook, the USA is in 19th place in the list of the biggest donors per capita, just after Portugal, and in the 21st place in the list of the biggest donors for each 1.000$ of the GDP.

Not sure if he killed tens of millions of people.. but no it wouldn't be classed as murder in the official stats as the stats you posted refer to civilian crimes.. not war crimes.

The US imprisons a lot of people unnecessarily. Drug users, drunks, burglars, and others, should be wearing GPS ankle bracelets.

Now, scratch the drug users and the drunks and that leaves burglars and other non-violent offenders. Already we've reduced the incarceration rate significantly.

No one should be imprisoned for using drugs or drinking alcohol unless they've seriously injured or killed someone while doing so.

Dude, It's quite simple actually.
If you go outside the USA you'll see clearly that your country ONLY make moves that will generate self-benefit. USA send billions of help to poor countries, but be sure that these countries have something the USA wants. Besides the fact billions are spent with war.

Doubting? Ask yourself why your troops aren't @ Africa stopping civil wars, helping to raise the countries from being extremely poor? It's simple (again!), they have nothing to offer.

As one of the leading countries, USA should give example instead of profiting with war, period.
