Lieberman: It is time to form an emergency government

Topic started on 21-7-2007 @ 05:51 PM by mrmonsoon

Lieberman's comments came after reports that Iran would fund, to the tune of $1 billion, new Syrian fighter jets, tanks and antiship missiles, and would aid Syria's nuclear and chemical weapons research programs. Assad also reportedly promised Ahmadinejad that he would cease his pursuit of peace talks with Israel if Iran would back Syrian interests in Lebanon.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

LINK

We all knew this was happening, but this is the first I have seen of it in print.

I admit, I as of yet, don't have secondary sources...yet.

If anyone else reads anything on this please post it on this thread so we can see where it goes.

*Edited to include link....D'OH

Yeah because God forbid Lieberman you come up with an idea like Lets make peace with Syria or hey lets leave the Palestinians alone. Its much better to come up with a way to avoid these things and to keep warmongering. God forbid America ever thinks they dont need military aid

If an emergency government IS formed with Lieberman at the helm, it will be as if he is Captain Ahab or the captain of the Titanic.

Just to make it clear, this article is referring to Avigdor Lieberman, a member of the Israeli government not Joseph Lieberman, the United States Senator from Connecticut and former U.S. Vice Presidential candidate. I think (but am not sure) some people may be confused.

One, if you bother to read from the link (placed soon after the post,D'OH), you would see it refers to Avigdor Lieberman, A member if Israel gov, not Joseph.

Two, Israel would make peace if other countries did not make demands that they know full and well will never happen.

This is done to keep the uninformed Muslim rah, rah's thinking Syria is trying to make an honest, real move for peace

Israel has proven that giving land does not equal peace; it only means that Muslim terrorists get that much closer to cities and still make acts of war by firing rockets into another country.

Also, anyone with 2 functioning brain cells knows Israel will not give up all of Jerusalem -Muslims are not the only ones with high holy sites there.

It is easy to say you are trying to make peace, when you simply demand what you know you won't get. In their deluded minds, some may think they are making peace, when in reality; it is a smoke screen, and not evens a good one
