What you posted is a perfect example of the garbage I hear spouted out of many Americans mouth nowadays. It comes from a generation of spoiled brats who think everything is free because, guess what, everything has always been handed to them on a silver platter. Guess what, freedom isn't free, never has been, never will be.

Um, I'm not an American. I am a concerned World Citizen.
War is a cancer, spread widely, we need a cure.

Reiteration:I am not anti-American. I am anti the regime.

The soldiers were not spat upon. They felt like they were. There is a distinction.

Should we expect anything else from Cali? Really, it is probably the most liberal minded state; with exception to maybe Vermont, it is by far the most liberal state in the U.S; as far as they are concerned, our military personal are little more than "murderers." It's sad, but it's the truth.

[edit on 2-10-2007 by SpeakerofTruth]

Ironically those fools can express that opinion because of the sacrifices soldiers have made.

please don't pray for me, it's a waste of time to just make you feel like you are helping.

god is a figment of our imaginations and is a fabrication to keep the power elite in their position..."i have a secret and i have power"...

Soldiers ARE murderers, plain and simple, it's just that it is state-sanctioned and it makes me sick.

Wow it must be nice for you to live in such a black and white world. I'm sure in your world all you need to do is look for the black and white cowboy hats to determine who's good and bad.

Now let me present this thought.
What if a foreign country invaded your country and it's goal was to imprison or kill it's citizens just like in nazi germany? Who do you think would protect you and your family from being tortured, abused, imprisoned or killed? What force does your country have that could go up against another invading force? Of course the answer is: YOUR MILITARY.
Would you be standing up and condemning those same soldiers and telling them that they are just murderers and you don't want them there?

You see, you enjoy your freedoms BECAUSE soldiers have made sacrifices and done things they may not have wanted to.

Lets be honest, people die in war...good people....bad people...innocent people. No sane person wants to kill or die but because this world hasn't evolved enough to shed our darker desires, it does sometimes become NECESSARY.

If someone were going to kill your family and you could stop that person by killing them, would you? If you did, does that make you nothing more then a murderer or a savior?

Hey now, lets not lump in all californian with these disrespectful folk.

I'm from california, born and raised in los angeles and still currently living in los angeles and I find this treatment and disrespect of soldiers disgusting.

As usual (with most cases of this sort) these people are a very ignorant and vocal minority, not part of the moderate majority.

Remember these guys?:
www.cnn.com...

I don't think anyone believes the Westboro Baptist Church speaks for christrians or americans as a whole.

Or am I wrong?

Crazies to the left, crazies to the right and as usual these incidents will come and go and hopefully will have minimal impact on these young men and womens lives.

All we can really do is stand by our individual actions. I for one respect veterans and soldiers and am thankful for the service (do you have any idea the size of the spiders in the middle east? Forgedabouit) and would not tolerate anyone disrespecting a soldier or their family in my presence.

And I may be naive but I think most people feel the same way.

Just my two cents, but hey, actually considering the value of the dollar what is my two cents worth now days like .7 cents or something?

On a closing note, yes we americans do have a sense of entitlement I don't know why but we do, which reminds me, I'm taking up a collection so I can get an x-box anyone interested in sending a cash donation...kidding just kidding, I know eventually I'll get one for free.
