If Democrats wanted to end the war, all they have to do is cut off the funding. They won't do it because the loss would be blamed on them.

Notice how every major Dem candidate is refusing to say they will withdraw immediately from Iraq if elected?

The truth is Democrats want defeat in Iraq only if it can be blamed on Bush.

That's an excellent way to put it my friend. The Dem's are completely vested in defeat in Iraq, but only if it happens BEFORE they get elected. That's why they make all the empty promises and straight out lies. They want it all pinned on big bad Bush and the evil republicans. I honestly think more and more of the public are beginning to see the Dem's for the lying hypocrites they really are. We can only pray that carries through to the election.

The Dems wont cut off funding to the war because they will use ending the war as a policy that will capture them them the White House.




You just cant pull out that many troops overnight the only viable option is a staged withdrawl.



The truth is that both party's are as bad as each other. The dems failed to stop this madness from the outset.

I think the Democrats know Bush would keep the troops in Iraq with no funding and no ammo even and let them die then blame it on the Democrats.

No funding would not force Bush to pull out the troops, it would only force him to decide if keeping them in Iraq without food and amunition is OK, I think he would play chicken with the lives of the soldiers, as casualties mounted, Congress would resume funding.

Of Coarse the real plan is for Iraq to be a permenate staging area for US troops, so its all fluff when they talk about pulling out. Hillary will not give up Iraq bases either.
