Why does McCain get a free pass when he flips? Romney gets all the flack while McCain strolls casually by. Let's be fair, both Romney and McCain have flip flopped on certain issues.

Rupert Murdoch and Fox News have brought the media down to their level, the gutter. It's all about ratings. Ratings go where the scandalous material is presented as if it was news.

No intelligent person can go through life without changing his or her point of view or position especially on large, complicated and dynamic issues. Well, Bush43 can (never change his mind) but then who has accused him of being intelligent? The media does us a great disservice by inferring that all thought processes are carved in stone. Shame on them.

Good reporters would remind the candidate of their previous position and ask how or why they came to change their minds. I've noticed that NO politician can tell the truth and win. Whose fault is that?

I give you the recent Michigan primary. John McCain told the Michiganders that the 100s of 1000s of auto industry jobs lost over the past 3 decades ARE NOT COMING BACK. Which anyone reading above the 5th grade level knows is a fact. McCain offered to improve the re-training and relocation programs.

Romney OTOH pandered to the Michiganders. He said he would BRING BACK THOSE JOBS! Further, he offered $20 b. of taxpayers money (a presidential earmark?) towards that effort. The Michiganders ATE IT UP! Tell us a lie! Tell us a lie! Then they voted for Romney over McCain. Lesson: Pandering beats Truth anytime.
