I haven't read this entire thread, but it definitely applies to me and my info about life on Mars.I'm looking for someplace where the information of
life on Mars is actually appreciated, and not just attacked out of hand by people without the eyes or understanding or background to handle new
information that by its nature is some guesswork, some estimates, crazy pics that 3 people in the world might "get",in other words very new and on the
edge. If you use the word "fringe" then that's a little uncomfortable, but perhaps applicable. Think of a 5 year or 10 year framework. Some of the
info on Mars life will reach the public, just like the "statue " on Mars sparked interest as an oddity. A few more "statue" pics, found by some
amateurs in rover or Phoenix pics will open up the debate in cycles, with news releases and subside again like waves.

For those unfamiliar with my work, here's proof of
life on Mars.Boring to you perhaps, but I have devoted my life to it.Meanwhile nasa masks the images.I designed Mars rovers 1987.Life on Mars was
photographed 32 years ago by Viking Landers, and covered up,since nasa is run by the military and not the scientists.

How about:
"My secret"
"My Other Secret Identity"
"My personal dark secrets"
"Leathered old diary book"
"What you are about to read Is Shocking"
"Entities"
"Shocking ATS"
"True mirage"
"You will not read/hear this on news"
"New dimensions"
"Underground Prospectives"
"The things they don't want you to read"
Hope it can help.
Thanks.

Just saw your reply. No, I thought you came up with the name shadow realm from the video game Vexx which
the final level is the shadow realm. I was hoping you could tell me how to beat it. Sorry, my mistake.
I do like the name "Confessions and Disclosures" for this new forum that someone proposed. It describes what it is, and leaves it wide open
to just about anything.

THANKS for the honor of your query.
----------------
What topics do you think we should add to this list?
----------------
Those you listed . . . perhaps plus any extremely fantastical supernatural/un-natural phenomenon, experience.
imho, there's a lot of garbage . . . probably even "new age"/demonic garbage . . . that's posted rather willy nilly . . . at a minimum distracting
and a drag on more solid stuff . . . though I think that the uncritical gah gah cheering by that particular orientation's cheer leaders can get
excessive.
Certainly claims of super fantastical technologies; super fantastical information/knowledge sightings; super fantastical abduction experiences . . .
would be good to be vetted first in such a forum.
-------------------------
What do you think the name of the new forum should be?
-------------------------
Hmmmmm
"ATS PROVING GROUND" or
"QUALIFYING LAPS" or
"FIRST FLIGHT" or
"FRIENDLY GAUNTLET" or
"TRIAL BY WORDS" or
"TEMPERING HEAT" or
"POLISHING WHEEL" or
"GRINDING WHEEL" or
"REFINING FIRES" or
"VETTING VENUE" or
"VIVID VETTING" or
"TRY-OUTS" or
"FLYING KEYS & FINGERS"
----------------------------------
What level of "vetting" should we require for these to be moved to a conspiracy forum, while being respectful of the poster's privacy?
Some percentage of:
1. Character verification by reliable sources who know the person well
2. Documentary proof of key aspects; key reference points; key biographical facts; photos . . .
3. Other witness collaborations
4. 5 out of 7 or 7 out of 12 moderators/super moderators gut senses attesting to a 70% or greater conviction that the story is authentic
5. Close relatives/friends attesting to a significant series of such experiences being related to them convincingly over several months or years.
6. Medical exam x-rays and the like documenting implant or other such purported abduction impacts.
7. A narrative that holds together well with enough flaws to be convincingly human and real yet enough logical coherence and a holistic, gestalt
gut-feel that is congruent, and evidently grounded in reality. Doesn't have a flippant, yet hokey-polished, hoaxed, glib flavor to it.
-------------------
I think it's a worthy effort. I hate seeing folks shredded at the drop of a hat. And, I hate the rest of us being duped mercilessly by cheeky
joksters. This could strike a meaningful functional balance between those tendencies.
Thanks,
|

Ooo someone mentioned "underground" and it dawns on me that it might
be a good name: "The Underground" (with perhaps some descriptive text following it). I also liked "Whistleblowers" and "Revelations.'

I believe
"Peculiar People"
will work well because it will be obvious to the individuals attempting to make claims to post there.
Peculiar doesn't have any negative connotations as well. It just means out of the ordinary and out of place. Which is exactly what they are.

How about the "ATS holding area" or ATS holding bay.
Maybe the ATS docking station.
Claims could be held there until a suitable place is found for it.
Imagine if you will those docking stations on those motherships in the sci-fi movies.
On arrival, visiting craft (in this case a new person on ATS claiming to be a reptilian) enters the docking station and then after validating thier
purpose or authenticity, they are escorted to the relevant area of the mothership. (In this case, ATS! )
Maybe we could see the three amigo's in trekky suits on the ATS bridge?
Anyway, a bit sci-fi for my way of thinking, but i think it would fit in with the decor and way of thinking here.
CX.

Pod Bay One? And have it moderated by Spock, Dr. McCoy, Sulu, Uhura, and Scotty?
Springer can be Kirk, and SO and Simon Grey as Admirals at Fleet command.
I can hear the voice of the computer now: "Please remain in the decontamination area until cleared for general access."

"Whistleblower/Fringe Element"
reply to post by whatukno
Isn't this kind of what "Skunk Works" is for on ATS?
I like what Wuk, WhatUKno suggested with the "Whistleblower" reference, but maybe a connection to the "Fringe Element" area.
"Whistleblower/Fringe Element"
Oh yeah, and the icon should be multiple questions marks, meaning ATS is unsure itself of these conspiracies.
Topics that should be included within it.
* Anal Probed And I Need Help
* I Am A Time Traveler
* I Am A Shapeshifter
Anything else that can not be substantiated with basic facts to back it up.
I know conspiracy theories in themselves are difficult for mainstream people to believe or understand, but some of the things I mentioned above are
like way over the top.

Earthman4 did not implicitly suggest the name but did mention it in passing.
Stranger Than Fiction.
It suggests the far out realm yet also gives an air of credibility.
It certainly has a ring to it...

What do you think the name of the new forum should be?
"I Was There"

I like the idea of a special forum. Perhaps the criteria to move to another forum could be decided by the members? Kind of like the star system works
now. I would say that if, after 3 pages of replies, the OP answers the questions to the satisfaction of the members, they can then start
"voting" by giving stars or points or whatever. If they get 20 points, the thread is moved to a more "valid" forum to continue.

That's a great idea I'd suggest something as far out as them like... "above and beyond top secret" or "ignorant earth" or something odd like
around the lines 2 is company, 3 is a crowd so 4 and 5 is 9 (numbers representing planet species) so "believe forum" sounds pretty odd.
