Why can't I get in the chat room?

It says you need 200 points to get in and I have that but the stupid thing is telling me I only have 138. Does anyone know why this might be?

Thats strange I dont think you need any points. Did you make sure you clicked the log on button before you clicked a room? Its in the top right of the chat window

Yes I'm definitely logged in right now but somehow I think the stupid thing lost count and thinks I have less points than I do.

You have 140 posts. You need 200 posts.

I would like to go to chat also and have ample posts but for some reason I've been very shy about going there.

Guess I just need to jump on in.

Lysergic is indeed correct...200 posts is the requirement to gain access to chat.

The reason for this is that if you have reached 200 posts, then you have demonstrated that you aren't here to troll (otherwise you may have been banned already) and can handle the 'responsibility' of real time communication.

It is a way to weed out people who are just here to cause trouble.

As the Lys and others have mentioned previously... It's 200 posts not 200 points.

So it would seem you have 62 posts to go... 61 after your response to this.
