I posted a thread about McCain's "gook" comment and not many even cared.

This is the POTENTIAL President we are speaking about. I really couldn't give a # less if you were in the Vietnam war and 'hate' the Vietnamese.

This is not the kind of person we want leading our nation.

To have another hate-filled President will break the country's back (if its not already smashed in half from the past 30 years of abuse).

We CANNOT allow racists in the Oval Office, especially if we know they are and are not afraid to say so. SNIP ridiculous.

I hear you biggie. Loud and clear. Things are screwed in they seem to be hurtling toward a brick wall these days. I'm a child of the cold war. I remember the fear. It was a cakewalk with Mr. Rogers compared to these days.

John McCain is a media darling right now. Big Media knows he is nothing but a liberal Republican, and are propping him up. But once it is one on one with Mrs. Bill Clinton, they will crucify him. Stuff like this won't pass.

Meanwhile Mrs. Bill Clinton can keep on making jokes about Ghandi working at 7/11, at it will be ignored.

Bush/Cheney seem to have quite a bit against Muslims. Well, Muslims who don't do business with them...So the House of Saud is cool and so are the Israelis, but aside from that, they're all not worth the effort.

Yes, just like that "free pass" they gave to her husband, amirite? Once McCain gets the nomination, the news networks will give him hours of free campaign time, and will do what they're already doing with Clintobama - her hair looks funny, her laugh sounds weird, he's a muslim, no, really, and we have no idea what he's saying (but he's so articulate!)

For the record, yes, I find McCain's comments disturbing - In fact I find him very disturbing, in total. I feel bad for Republicans for this election. You're voting between a poke in the eye or a kick in the balls. However I'm not going to buy into the idea of Ron Paul being totally clean of racism, if only because I give him enough intellectual credit that I figure he probably read the newsletter dedicated to him (since he DID write pieces for it and all...)

He may get the Republican nomination, but he's not going to win the election.

I predict Obama taking the Democratic primary and then the Presidential election (well I'm just hoping Hillary doesn't win).

If Ron Paul had a chance I'd want him to win, but its not looking that great.

Also that is something that community has to decide on and I havent seen anybody from that community coming to take him to task for that. Also, his ideas about Iraq are from a more informed and aware perspective than Obama or any of the other Democratic idiots out there. On a one on one basis, he has done more for America than any other Presidential candidate both in terms of legislative service and military service.

We are Americans and if he wants to be President of the USA we have every right to question him.

I know a lot of former Marines from WW2 that are big fans of the Japanese even now. They admit that their hatred has gotten more mellow over the years, but some still don't buy Japanese cars.

McCain shouldn't have made those comments in pubic, that's for sure, but I can imagine him having a beef with the Vietnamese after torturing him and other American POWs.

And this is torture, not waterboarding, the horrible "women's panties on the head" or the equally terrible, "Naked butt pyramids".
